Planned features
In the coming months we are planing to expand the platform with new features and data sets:
Data sets
- Power plants map
JRC Open Power Plants Database (JRC-PPDB-OPEN)Generation per unit (now in “Generation” panel)Power market: auction results, contracted power, data from TSO (PSE) and regulator’s office (URE)CO2 and pollutants emissions from: KOBiZEand EMAS (including fuel, water consumption, waste production)
Production – Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A. (TSO) – Polish Power System Operation – new time seriesAvailable power – adding outages, renovationsConsumption – consumption profiles for electricity and heat in industry, services, households- Heating – system and individual, heating networks, generation, emissions, technologies and support programs (Clean Air)
Energy mix forecasts – scenarios from NECP, Polish Energy Policy (PEP2040) etc.Medium-term generation forecasts – based on TSO data- Climate
Weather – potential of wind and solar- Water resources, forecasts, impact on power generation
- Balancing market
- PSE (TSO): Daily reports from balancing market -> Prices
RES MapRegulator (URE) – installations map- Auction results
- Data from neighbouring markets
Features
English version of the platformAggregation for total load to calculate averages- Expanding the power plant parameters and different visualization schemes
Power balance – power vs load- API
- Embedding graphs as HTML on other websites
- Sum values shown on stacked bar charts
- Electricity and CO2 prices – volumes shown on chart (at the moment only in Data tab)
- Users forum, comments, wiki, publishing our data scrapers on github
Known bugs
- General
No Polish characters in CSVThe time-range buttons on the left of the chart do not always switch time aggregation to reflect the data set – we recommend refreshing the pageAnnual aggregation may not always be correct immediately if the selected period is not a full calendar year – we recommend selecting full yearsNon-uniform number formatting (decimal places, thousands / millions etc.)- Copying data from table does not work – this is a bug in an external library, current status here
- Power:
- Electricity demand
Data for the upcoming months of 2020 may be shown as blank (no data) – we recommend a precise selection of the time range (only in the past)Exporting data to a CSV file can cut data
- Electricity demand
- Electricity production – power plant
The “Data” tab may take a long time to load because the entire data set is being readData export has been disabled due to performance issues, we will restore as soon as possibleEmpty fields with unusual chart configurations and no power plant operation in the selected time rangeThe legend is not always displayed correctly
- Power plants map
- Export applies only to emissions, in the future it will be possible to export the entire data set
Cross-border flowsDaily aggregation with the selection of one day returns no result
- Prices
- Unspecified volume unit in the exported file
WeatherSolarExport to CSV – invalid data
WindExport to CSV – invalid data
